 Ortler normal route 

The Ortler is the highest mountain in South Tyrol at just under 4000 metres!  This tour is special because it offers a panoramic view of the entire Alpine region.

day 1
Individual journey. There are two options for the ascent to the Payerhütte (3029 m) a) first take the Langenstein lift (700 m - time 3.5 h) or b) on foot from Sulden (1180 m - time 4 h). Both options include a rest stop at the Tabaretthütte hut

day 2
Summit ascent 950 hm approx. 3.5 h.  Climbing difficulty UIAA 3+; descent approx. 3 h to payer hut. Descent to the valley or to the Langenstein lift 2,5 h.

Bookable dates:
on request, ideal period would be from mid-June to the end of September

Service:
Organisation and guidance by a state-certified mountain guide (IVBV)

Requirements:
- Sure-footedness & a head for heights & fitness.
- Safe walking with crampons

Additional expenses:
Lift fees, hut fees for you and the mountain guide

Participants and price:
for 1 participant per person 750,- € without additional expenses
for 2 participants per person 400,- € without additional expenses
for 3 participants per person € 350 without additional expenses (only possible in good conditions)

Equipment:
Mountain boots crampon-proof (it must be possible to mount the rocker lever on the heel), harness, helmet, lamp, crampons, ice axe, 1 screw carabiner, thin, thick gloves, usual mountain gear and hut necessities, hut sleeping bag
